| Acid
etching systems are used to give glass a frosted look. They are
usually designed to process very high volumes of glass.
The output of an acid etching system depends on the size of glass
being etched. A typical system has the following outputs:
|
BOTTLE SIZE
(ml) |
APPROXIMATE
NUMBER OF BOTTLES ETCHED PER 8 HOUR SHIFT |
| 1750 |
23000 |
| 750 |
29000 |
| 375 |
37500 |
| 100 |
50000 |
All acid etching systems include ventilation
fittings ready to be hooked up to an exhaust in your plant. The
ventilation protects the workers and the system from acid vapors.
The etching process is automated and requires no human assistance.
The systems can be designed to fit
the available space (both size and by shape). A typical system requires
1,500 to 2,500 square feet of space (140 to 230 square meters),
including the mixing room, water recycling facility and first aid
station.

The acid etching systems are custom-built
for each client. They can be set up to etch liquor bottles,
cosmetic containers, tumblers and other types of glass.
